Windhoek is the capital, and largerst city in Namibia. It is located in the central Khomas Region, and because of its location, is the gateway into and out of Namibia. The city of Windhoek was traditionally known by two names, Ai-Gams and Otjomuise, from the Nama people and the Herero people – both traditional names have reference to the hot springs that were once a part of Windhoek.
